I’d like to introduce you all to the most beautiful and perfect human I know:
Evelyn Faye Crowder.
Born on December 23, 2013 at 5:58 PM.
7 lbs 5 oz 19.5″
If you are interested in reading her birth story, I posted it on my personal/family blog: Green Meadow Manor. It was the most amazing and beautiful day of my entire life.
Evelyn’s newborn pictures were taken when she was only 5 days old. So fresh from Heaven.
This picture is my all time favorite. It’s such a beautiful display of the connection, warmth and overwhelming love between a new baby and her mommy.
This face was worth 273 days of throwing up, and a hole between my esophagus and stomach.
I wrote a post called 100 Things to Teach My Daughter. It’s unreal how much I love her and want to protect her from the world and teach her how to be strong.
So fierce.
The best thing I have ever seen in my life is this:
It still feels so surreal to know that we are parents. We are the mom and dad now. And we are in charge of EVERYTHING this sweet baby needs. It’s so overwhelming. But in just about 4 weeks we have seen a growth in ourselves we didn’t know was there. By Grace we are learning how to do this. It’s the happiest experience to be transformed into a parent. Not to mention, quite humbling. I’ve never prayed more in my entire life. (And I went through the experience of learning to land an airplane haha!)
These beautiful photos were taken by Valery Bunnell Photography. She is the best of the best when it comes to newborn and birth photography. We had such a great experience having them done. She is definitely the “newborn whisperer.”
Thanks for letting me be a proud mumma and share with you my beautiful baby, and all my heart-explosions. Next week I’ll be sharing with you Evelyn’s nursery, which turned out better than imagined.
Happy weekend!
