Going to the Parade of Homes is like a major reality check. It makes me feel like a “commoner.” lol… But really, who am I kidding. I LOVE THE PARADE OF HOMES! Soaking in all the design ideas, beautiful accessories, model home smells, every finished detail… it makes my soul buzz. At the end of the day, it all starts to blur together, so I like to take lots of pictures to help me remember the highlights. Today we went on a double date with Reggie and Sara. We hit 5 of the 23 (hot dang!) houses today. Here are some of my favorite moments.
The DIY Blogger house:
I am biased towards this house. Many of the DIY blogger-goddesses I follow helped design this house. What a dream come true. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t totes jelly of them. One can dream…
Molding on the ceiling. LOVE THE DETAIL.
Aaron and Reggie hated the clear chairs because they thought, quote “They look like cheap hooker shoes.” I think they are good for extra seating in a cozy room, because visually they don’t take up space.
MDF planks on a wall – such a hot new trend for wall treatments.
Be prepared to see a lot of IKAT FABRIC throughout the rest of this post.
That chandelier is dazzling unto me. I want its identical twin.
I love this take on painting the same color high gloss over flat. I love the dresses for a girls room, and the subtle “courage.”
What’s not to love about this master? The wall treatment of vertical boards, the subtle color pallet, and the IKAT footstools. 🙂
I thought this room as a whole was perfectly not over-designed. It looked very livable.
This was simple molding that made a bold statement. It looks like something even I could do!
Aaron and Reggie enjoying bromance bath time. Cute.
Reggie doing pretend laundry. Do you like that wall paper? I do! But… I don’t know if I could bring myself to actually hang wall paper, due to this experience.
LOVE THIS CLOCK! MUST HAVE ONE! Seriously though, an over sized stop watch clock, classy as heck.
And I need this scale too. My birthday is coming up…
I will also take 4 of these.
Don’t you envy those stripes?! This is quality basement design. I can see some A+ hangouts happening here.
The love-child of a coffee table and an ottoman. It’s totally a perfect balance. It says “Put your feet on me, I’m soft. But I’ll also hold your drinks with my large surface area.” OK!
Airplanes… make me weak in the knees.
When I am blessed with babies, there will be an aviation themed room. And it will be a slice of Heaven.
Isn’t this paint fun? And doesn’t Sara match PERFECTLY?!
Crushing so hard on maps these days.
What do you think of stripes painted on a ceiling? I think it’s good as long as everything else stays neutral.
How much do you love this? It’s so much fun. Faux Taxidermy is all kinds of fun, in my eyes.
So many fun wall treatments. Such a great way to define a boring wall.
ARE YOU READY FOR OUR DAY’S FINALLY? THE BIG BIG MANSION?
Let it be known we did not ride the shuttle up the hill. We power walked that mother in hundred degree weather! We were cramping and covered in sweat when we reached the line to the doorway. We were prepared to see the magic that was
The Loeffler Residence.
To give you an idea, this pictures only about 1/3 of the house. Yeah.
The details in the HALLWAYS had me speechless.
This is the great room for parties and gatherings. I need to make friends with said Loefflers.
Good luck getting me out of that tub.
That light fixture about the grand family room is stunning.
Look at it up close.
That’s what I’m talking about.
This is the most beautiful kitchen I have ever stepped foot in. It is a “magazine kitchen.” That hood vent, the lighting, the counter tops, the appliances. So many finished details. Nothing left undone. This is perfection my friends.
Luxury at its finest, folks.
HELLO CRAFT ROOM!
On our way out:
There are so many rooms in this mansion that I wasn’t able to photograph. But believe me, they were all extremely luxurious. Every square inch of this home was designed to perfection.
I hope you enjoyed this photo tour of the Parade of Homes! Remember, you still have one week if you’d like to see the homes in person for yourself.
